ó¢?????a | This paper summarizes the rules of selecting points was based on the means of collection, systematization and research of the ancient acupuncture and moxibustion prescriptions. Before the Song dynasty, the early acupuncture-moxibustion prescriptions chiefly combined the "neighboring point selection" including distal points according to "symptomatic point selection" including distal points according to "symptomatic point selection". After the Song dynasty, more multi-point prescriptions emerged. And during this period, the rules of point selection had several characteristics as follows: Selecting points according to differentiation of channels; Selecting points according to differentiation of syndromes; Selecting points according to the indications of points, or application of other theories.
