Regulatory Peptides provides a scientific medium for reviews, viewpoints, research articles and correspondence (in the form of Letters to the Editor) on the physiology/pathophysiology of peptides and proteins of the gut and endocrine- and nervous systems which regulate cell, tissue or organ function. Articles may be based on either basic or clinical science observations obtained in any of the fields of biochemistry, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, neuroscience, psychology and clinical medicine. Articles should strive to provide mechanistic explanations rather than merely be observational reports. Communications on comparative physiology research will be considered if novel mechanistic or translational aspects are included.
