期刊介绍:
British Journal of Cancer is the official journal of the Cancer Research Campaign and developed from the annual reports of research funded by the Campaign. The journal reflects the mission of the Campaign by including research on the entire field of cancer, ranging from molecular and mechanistic studies, through cell biology, pathology, experimental therapeutics, epidemiology and accounts of clinical studies. In a time of increased subspecialization in science, the need for a top-rate journal with broad coverage is paramount; all the more so as best clinical practice means multidisciplinary care for individual cancer patients. BJC appeals to a broad audience, which is reflected in its consistently impressive impact factors. Its popularity has led to a doubling in size and a move to biweekly publication. In addition to full research papers, the journal publishes high quality reviews, correspondence, book reviews, a calendar of future meetings and conferences and, occasionally, conference supplements. The journal has made provision for 'fast track' articles, which reduces considerably the normal publication time for communications deemed by the Editors and reviewers to be appropriate. The journal has a very large international database of expert reviewers and this guarantees high standards of peer review for all submitted articles. Normally a minimum of three reviewers are employed for each research manuscript submitted to the journal.
