刘爱莲，女，研究员，上海交通大学医学院 健康科学研究所，硕士生导师。
1982年获哈尔滨医科大学医疗系学士学位。1988年获哈尔滨医科大学组织胚胎学专业硕士学位。1982年—1993年在哈尔滨医科大学组织胚胎学教研室任教，从事组织学和胚胎学的教学和科研工作。1993-1994年在加拿大埃尔伯塔大学解剖和细胞生物学教研室做访问学者。1994年至1995年，在美国韦恩大学解剖和细胞生物学教研室学习和研究。1995年至1996年，在美国亨利－福特医院—分子神经肿瘤实验室做Research fellow。1996年至1999年在美国约翰－霍普金斯大学医学院—肾赃科做Research associate。在北美期间，主要从事医学发育生物学研究。 2000年－2005年在上海第二医科大学，上海市发育生物学重点实验室工作。主要从事人胚胎干细胞建系、分化及应用方面的研究。从2005年5月起，担任中科院上海生命科学院/上海交通大学医学院健康科学研究所，分子免疫学研究组Co-PI。除从事自身免疫性疾病，包括多发性硬化病及类风湿性关节炎的免疫调节机理及新型免疫治疗方法研究外，继续从事干细胞定向分化研究，并将干细胞定向分化研究应用到自身免疫性疾病动物模型中，研究干细胞的防治作用和作用机理。目前承担上海市科委基金项目一项，承担国家自然科学基金面上项目一项。
