穴义

风，风邪；府，处所。
本穴为治风邪之处。

Meaning

Feng, pathogenic wind; fu, place.
This is a point for eliminating pathogenic wind.

定位

向发际正中直上1寸

Location

1 cun directly above the midpoint of the posterior hairline.

主治

①解热，治感冒发热，常与风池合用
②治头昏头痛，头项强痛，脑震荡后遗症等
③治中风后遗症失语、吞咽困难等
④癫痫及精神病

Indication

1. fever, cold, often used with Fengchi point
2. dizziness, headache, stiff neck, after-effect of cerebral concussion
3. aphasia caused by after-effect of cerebral apoplexy
4. epilepsy and schizophrenia

针法

①直刺0.5~1寸，针尖不可向上斜刺，亦不宜深刺，否则针尖可通过枕骨大孔，刺伤延髓，有生命危险
②本穴禁灸

Method

1. perpendicularly 0.5-1cun. Upward or deep puncture should be avoided lest the needle hurt the bulb through foraman magnum, causing danger.
2. Moxibustion cannot be used.
